I might be nuts but this place is great, if your broke and want some bizarre mix of Mexi-China food! I like their vege-borritos but again, it's not your proper tex-mex. Cheap and fast delivery. No place to eat in - it's really just a take out joint. If you think about ordering your food - chances are it's already at the door.

Little D Eatery/Little Dishes
It's not great, I am sorry to say. I think the concept is there but it's every food you ever had when you went out to eat. I had a good variety of dishes there and it all tasted like restaurant food. I could give you the list and description of what I ate but it wasn't so wonderful so why bore you?
Kid friendly? Not if Mommy's bored!

Dizzy's
I wish they would either pay the wait-staff better or make the customer a priority or hire people that like working -SOMETHING!!! The food is consistently good, I don't think I have had a bad meal there but the experience with the staff keeps me away. I definitely don't recommend it to friends just because of the waiters.
It's such a cute little place with a 50's appeal to it, the menu is basic diner but with a delicious twist to it. Kid-friendly with and outdoor cafe. Sometimes a long wait in the summer for brunch but it's probably due to the slow staff. Too bad.

Holy S---! Is this slow service or what? I waited for so long for my food I forgot what I ordered. It's a fun place though - good for late night food. One of the only in the area that serves late. Great place to meet friends and go somewhere else to eat. Atmosphere is nice, there is an outdoor cafe that's always packed and kid-friendly.

Lenny's Pizza***
Best New York pizza in the Slope! Really! Carefully read what I wrote, that's what I mean. It's not trendy, not fancy at all, and maybe even a little tough in the customer-relations department but really, really good sauce! Is it kid-friendly - it's pizza joint, it better be. One more thing, Italians run it, nice, right? They deliver.
Kid friendly - I guess - it's a pizza joint
Outdoor seating - one wrought iron table - so NO

Coco Roco
The food is everything you want it to be and more. I go weeks without it and one day I will be sitting at my desk and think - "Oh my God, I haven't eaten Coco Roco in weeks" and HAVE to order it!! That's a good sign of a place that has made it's mark. Delivery is great during the week when you get home late from work - great deal with the Family Meal. In house service is great - kid-friendly and sweet.
I have read other reviews and do not agree - maybe I was lucky and cute!

Tofu on 7th
Honestly, so good! Clean and fresh. I was a bit disturbed when my usual place closed on 7th Ave but i went back to this and i am pleased. I don't like the salty egg rolls though. But order this - I keep thinking I made it up but that can't be true but all love it:
Sauteed Chinese Broccoli/Spicy - add dried bean curd - order brown rice. Oooooh yum.
Quick delivery - I do not like to eat there.

Anthony's Pizza
Ummmmmmmm. I'm Italian soooo, okay, let's go.....the sauce is okay - not spicey enough, the pizza is not bad and crust could be chewier, the pasta is al dente (my aunt likes that), the salads have too much dressing and my 'heavy' aunt from the Midwest who married into the famil REALLY likes that, the chicken was okay. I feel like every time I go there I should go back and give them another try. The kids LOVE (yes, kid-friendly) the marinara sauce, but love is a strng word. Service could be better. I feel that if you frequent a place enough, that if 'the guy' knows you, a nice glass of wine or a little somethin' should come your way. I would NEVER expect but after a while (7 times)...you notice. Loud too!

The Park Slope Chip Shop
What has happened? I loved this place and now I don't know. To be fair, I have to go to the one on Atlantic & in Bay Ridge but as of writing this I haven't. Sooooooo, again, what the hell happened? It used to be so great! Then it grew, but it was still great but with British curry, then it got smaller, and no curry (big mistake - to those of you that didn't eat it) and now it's tiny - no curry and boring. Don't bother getting it delivered, what a mess that is. Nothing is right and the food is dead cold. Fried food - dead cold? Nope, not good.
Is it kid-happy? Not really.
Cheap? Kind of. It's just not what it used to be and that was wonderful! Not now.

I do, I really do like this place. It's quaint, professional, nice fancy food, good nice fancy food but i have read the other reviews and i agree with most of them, except the mention of mixture of Park Slope people. That it's not, it's upper middle, professionals and there's nothing wrong with that. But THAT'S what it is. Now if you like that and want to have a professionally served dinner with really fine restaurant food and you don't want to bring your little ones AND you want to impress some out of towners - this is your LOVELY LITTLE PLACE!
Kid friendly - not young ones
Outdoor seating - none
